Cool, CTHULHU ARMAGEDDON was mentioned on Dab of Darkness’ Best of 2016!
2016 is finally over! It was a tough year for me, even right up to the end where I caught a nasty holiday bug. I did read a lot of great books last year. According to my Goodreads profile, I read 208 books, nearly 100 less than the year before. I blame my new found love of Netflix bingewatching for that. Here are my favorite 11 books of the year, in no particular order (no counting rereads).
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
Tofu will help me hide the bodies.
Anne Manx on Amazonia by Larry Weiner
The Green Children by Domino Finn
Dragon Gate by Gary Jonas (Jonathan Shade #3)
Zaria Fierce and the Enchanted Drakeland Sword by Kiera Gillett

Narrator: Jeffrey Kafer
Publisher: Audible Studios (2016)
Length: 9 hours 40 minutes
Series: Book 1 The Secret Files of the Red Room
In this urban fantasy, the morally questionable fight the morally void. Derek Hawthorne and his twin sister Penny were raised within the secret organization known as the Red Room. This organization has kept the larger world safe from the supernatural for millennium. However, Derek is now caught up in a plot that is wrongly accusing him of treason while at the same time he hunts down the evil and powerful Wazir. Things are about to get messy.
This was a fun story. It’s got dark humor, plenty of action, and really interesting characters. I give extra points for all the Richard Matheson references. Derek is our main character and we experience the entire book through his…

Hey folks!
Great news, I’m pleased to say THE SCIENCE OF SUPERVILLAINY has been completed! Gary Karkofsky’s latest adventure has been sent to my publishers for editing and hopefully, we’ll be able to get a simultaneous audiobook and ebook release sometime in March of 2017.
Gary Karkofsky a.k.a Merciless: The Supervillain without MercyTM finally tracks down and faces President Omega after having had his life ruined by the time-traveling Chief of State. Unfortunately, defeating his nemesis turns out to be less of a victory than Gary hoped. Seconds after their victory, Gary and his wife are captured by Merciful: The Superhero with MercyTM. Merciful, also known as Other Gary, is our antihero’s doppelganger from a previous reality who believes he can rule the world better.
Gary and Mandy manage to escape but not before Merciful has conquered Falconcrest City and reformed it into their worst nightmare: a clean, efficient, retro-futuristic paradise. Can our heroes get their revenge or are they doomed to live in a world without villains?
This will be the fourth volume of the Supervillainy Saga but far from the last. Jeffrey Kafer will be continuing to do the audiobook narration.

This is kind of a stream of consciousness review and it’s hilarious.
The Games of Supervillainy: The Supervillainy Saga Book 2
As usual lets get the technical stuff out of the way first. The Narration was great. Kafer has the perfect voice to do Gary’s dry humor. And he does an ok job with the other voices. The speed of the reading was fine. Unfortunately I have no complaints with the Audiobook. I say unfortunately because it makes it a damn sight harder to write the review….. The cover could be better I guess?
OK now lets get to the good stuff!. What can I say about this book. Hmmm It started up immediately where book one ended and in the first chapter we meet one of the best super Heroes I…

I feel a little bad about not announcing this early Friday but from November 25th to the 27th, two of the best books from Amber Cove Publishing are going to be available for free. They’ve always been available for free on Kindle Unlimited but I’m pleased to say they’re free-free for download.
THE RULES OF SUPERVILLAINY by C.T. Phipps: https://www.amazon.com/Rules-Supervillainy-Saga/dp/1514269392/
Follow Gary Karkofsky as he discovers a magic cloak which allows him to live out his dream of being a supervillain. But is he evil enough? He may end up being the villain his city needs more than the hero it deserves.
TO BEAT THE DEVIL by Michael Gibson: https://www.amazon.com/Beat-Devil-Technomancer-Novels/dp/153073455X/
The world has been overrun by demons and a new age of supernatural cyberpunk decadence has occurred. Small time criminal and cyborg Salem finds himself well above his head when an ancient human wizard recruits him for the mission of his life: taking down an archdemon.
I think people should check out both. After all, the price is right for anyone with a Kindle.
The Rules of Supervillainy was an awesomely original and extremely fun ride.
