Great book. Not my favorite of yours, but that has more to do with your other books being excellent than it does this book not being excellent. The fact that the main character is so very flawed, yet so real, is a big driving force for why I like it.
Just a note for you and your other fans – if you want another take on a darker science fiction world, try Perilous Waif by E. William Brown. Also a very good book. The main character’s a bit powerful for my tastes – she’s not flawed, just ignorant – and the Libertarian universe is probably the most unrealistic thing in it, but it has Space Nazis, slavery in a few forms, criminals etc.
